We are involved in a range of projects, all with the same goal: improving the lives of people facing poverty, illness, or difficult circumstances. By supporting any of these projects, you are helping make a real difference.
Containers
We ship containers filled with medical supplies, food, clothing, and educational materials to hospitals and communities to some countries in the Caribbean region. The cost of shipping a container typically ranges from £5,400 to £6,000.
Your donation to this project helps cover transportation and shipping costs.
Suitcases
Sending suitcases with travelers to the Caribbean is one of the fastest and most effective ways to deliver much-needed supplies directly to local communities and people. Many volunteers are willing to take an extra suitcase filled with essential medical supplies and other aid items.
Your contribution to this project helps cover the airline fees for transporting these suitcases, ensuring that the resources reach those who need them most.
Meals
We support two local initiatives in Havana, Cuba, that prepare and provide meals for people living in extreme poverty and hardship.
The first project is based at the Church of St Francis of Assisi in Old Havana and provides daily meals to approximately 80 people in need.
The second project is led by one of our trustees, Lindsey Metcalfe, who travels to Havana every three months and spends a month in the Alamar neighborhood helping to prepare and distribute around 120 meals each day. In addition, the project provides care packages containing essential food and hygiene items to people with disabilities living in conditions of extreme poverty. These meals and packages are made possible through the generous contributions of our donors.
